Start with the room and access route
- Measure the width, depth and height available.
- Leave space for drawers, doors, recliners and moving parts to open.
- Check sockets, skirting boards, radiators and nearby furniture.
- Measure doorways, stairs and turns for delivery or collection.
Compare the details that matter
Look for dimensions, materials, finish, included items and assembly requirements on the product page. Product photographs can show styling accessories that are not supplied. Check the included items for the actual product.
For office furniture, compare desk height and leg space, chair adjustment and any published load limit. For children’s furniture, follow the maker’s age, weight and mattress-depth requirements. Do not assume a limit or measurement that is missing.
If an essential detail is not published, use the product enquiry or call 01745 344112 with the product name before agreeing the purchase. The team can confirm the specific detail, rather than asking you to guess from a photograph.
Plan delivery and assembly
Standard delivery is to the door. Room-of-choice delivery is £20 extra where agreed, but it does not include flat-pack assembly. Check whether the product arrives assembled, in sections or flat packed.
Allow space and appropriate help for assembly. Follow the supplied instructions, including wall-fixing or anti-tip requirements, and keep any fitting labels. Ask for missing-item or product support before improvising replacement fittings.
