Checkout and deposits
You can leave checkout before making a payment. An order is accepted only after successful full payment or a minimum 25% deposit and confirmation of the order arrangements. Checkout shows the currently available payment options and does not accept unpaid orders.
Paying a deposit or using Dream Plan does not remove your cancellation or faulty-goods rights. Contact UC Beds with your order reference to notify cancellation and discuss any remaining payment schedule. Items are released for delivery or collection only after the full balance is paid.
Changing your mind after an online or phone purchase
For most consumer goods bought at a distance, you can cancel without giving a reason up to 14 days after receiving them. If one order arrives in separate deliveries, the usual period ends 14 days after the last item arrives. Tell us clearly that you are cancelling, then return the goods within the following 14 days.
You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. Handling beyond what is needed to establish their nature, features and function can lead to a deduction for lost value where the law permits. There is no automatic restocking fee for exercising a statutory cancellation right.
A qualifying refund includes the standard outward delivery charge. Extra delivery upgrades are not necessarily refunded. Reimbursement uses the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, and is due within the legal deadline; for returned goods this is normally within 14 days of receipt or, if earlier, evidence of return.
When the usual change-of-mind right differs
Genuinely bespoke goods made to your individual specifications, or personalised goods, can be excluded from the distance change-of-mind right. Simply calling an item “special order”, ordering it from a supplier, or choosing from standard stock options does not automatically make it bespoke.
A narrow exception can apply to sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for genuine health or hygiene reasons after unsealing. This is not a blanket rule that opening packaging removes all return rights. Any applicable exception must be explained before the purchase. Faulty-goods rights remain.
Purchases agreed in the showroom do not normally have an automatic change-of-mind right. Any additional voluntary arrangement must be agreed with UC Beds; this website does not offer a general comfort trial or an extended change-of-mind guarantee.
Arranging a return
Call 01745 344112 or write to UC Beds, 48-54 Wellington Road, Rhyl, LL18 1BN, with your order reference and the items involved. Confirm the practical return arrangements before bringing or sending bulky furniture back. This does not delay or restrict your right to notify cancellation.
Any change-of-mind return cost payable by you must have been disclosed before you agreed the purchase. Bulky goods need a disclosed collection or return cost, rather than an unspecified charge afterwards. Contact the team for your order’s arrangements. Faulty-goods return costs are handled under your consumer rights.
Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their agreed purpose and match their description. You normally have a short-term right to reject non-conforming goods for a refund within 30 days of delivery, subject to the rules on installation and repair or replacement.
After that, repair or replacement will usually be the first remedy. If that is impossible, fails, takes too long or causes significant inconvenience, further rights can include a price reduction or final rejection. A guarantee ending does not automatically end statutory rights. Clearance goods have the same legal protections, taking account of any specific defect made clear before purchase.
