Your browser and saved products
Your basket and favourites are stored in this browser on this device. They do not automatically sync with a customer account. Removing a product from Saved or the basket updates that storage; clearing site data in your browser removes it.
The linked checkout uses session storage for your basket and checkout reference. It also recovers your delivery or collection choice, postcode, room service, payment preference and removal selections if you retry or return to your basket. This recovery record does not include your name, email, telephone number or street address. The saved checkout selections are cleared when checkout completes successfully.
Customer and staff sign-in sessions use necessary session cookies. This storage supports the features you ask to use and is separate from optional shopping analytics. Personalised advisor assistance is optional and has its own separate privacy choice.
Optional shopping analytics
Shopping analytics is off unless you allow it. With your permission, UC Beds records daily counts of shopping actions to understand where the journey can improve. These counts include only the action, general page kind and shop or checkout source. They do not record product or category identifiers, search words, names, contact details, order details, IP addresses or a customer/session identifier.
This is first-party measurement with no advertising or third-party analytics service. Reports cover a rolling 90 days; older anonymous counts are deleted when measurement next runs. Your Allow or Decline preference and the date you chose it are stored in this browser for up to 180 days. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your choice at any time. Declining stops future analytics events and does not affect shopping, ordering or support.
Personalised help, live visitors and advisor chat
You can choose whether our sales team can see the UC Beds product and category pages and submitted searches you view, your current shop page and return visits in this browser. We use this to understand your interests and offer advice or relevant offers in live chat. This requires its own explicit Allow personalised help choice; allowing anonymous shopping measurement does not enable it. Browsing history is off by default. Use Privacy choices or the chat preferences to change it. Declining does not affect buying or asking for support.
A random browser chat identifier is stored only after you allow personalised assistance or open a support chat, for up to 30 days. Your preference is remembered for up to 180 days. We do not read payment pages, account pages, typed form fields, passwords, addresses or card details. Obvious email addresses and long numbers are removed from submitted search terms. Browsing events are shown for up to 30 days and limited to the latest 300 per browser; withdrawing activity consent deletes that browser’s stored browsing events.
Live chat shows the real UC Beds advisor’s account name, role and uploaded photograph. Advisors can send a dismissible help invitation to opted-in visitors, at most once per day. You choose whether to accept it. You can start a support chat without activity tracking. Messages and details you choose to share are saved for customer support and agreed follow-ups. You may explicitly link the chat to your signed-in customer account; an email address typed into chat does not automatically reveal or link an account.
Only the owner, operations manager and sales team can access this sales desk. Private staff notes and follow-up reminders are not shown to customers. Chat history, shared contact details and support notes are retained for up to 12 months unless a legal obligation or ongoing matter requires a separate record. Browser activity is separate from chat history. Contact the team to request access, corrections or deletion. Do not share card details, passwords, one-time sign-in codes or unnecessary sensitive information in chat.
Checkout, orders and accounts
UC Bed Bargains Ltd, trading as UC Beds, handles the customer information collected through this shop and its linked order system. Checkout and order records can include your name, contact details, delivery address where needed, products, service choices and notes for authorised team members to process and fulfil your order. Quote enquiries and messages are saved in the shared enquiry history.
These details support the steps you ask us to take before a purchase and the management of an accepted order. Activity and checkout records also support account security, prevention of duplicate payment attempts and an audit history. Order and payment records may be needed for legal and accounting obligations. Your portal shows the order, outstanding balance and recorded payments.
If you have an existing Dream Plan agreement, your recurring payment agreement, amounts, due dates and payment status support the three-month schedule. Card authorisation is handled by the payment provider. UC Beds does not store your full card number in order notes or your account.
Information is kept for the purposes of handling enquiries, orders, payments, support, security and applicable record-keeping obligations. Contact the team for information about the records held for your checkout or order, retention and any deletion request.
Payment information from Stripe, Klarna and Clearpay
Product, basket and checkout pages use Stripe payment messaging to explain available payment options. Stripe receives information such as the displayed amount, currency, country and technical device or interaction data, including IP addresses and cookies, to provide the service, prevent fraud and improve its services. We do not pass your name, email address or basket product details to this messaging component.
When you choose a payment provider, it receives the information needed for its checks and your agreement. Read its privacy notice before choosing the payment method. Links to the providers’ privacy notices and current terms are on our payment information pages.
PayPal payment information
PayPal supplies the payment banners and illustrations shown around the shop and checkout. Where a price is displayed, our messaging code passes the amount and currency to PayPal; it does not pass your name, email address or basket product details. PayPal may collect technical information such as your IP address, device information, cookies and interactions with its service. Read PayPal’s privacy notice for its uses of this information and your choices.
Services used to run the shop
The website and order system use hosted technology to store and process checkout and order records. To calculate delivery, your postcode is sent to Postcodes.io for a location lookup; your name and street address are not sent in that lookup.
When you choose an available card payment, card details are entered on the payment provider’s hosted page. UC Beds records payment references, amounts and status rather than your full card number. Dream Plan recurring payments require your explicit card authorisation to the displayed schedule. External links open services with their own privacy information.
Your privacy choices and rights
You can ask for access to personal information, a correction, and—where the applicable conditions are met—erasure, restriction, portability or an objection to processing. Some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations or resolve an outstanding matter. The team may need to verify your identity before providing private information.
Contact UC Beds on 01745 344112 or in writing at 48-54 Wellington Road, Rhyl, LL18 1BN. You can also raise a data-protection concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
VAT eligibility information
The VAT eligibility checker and declaration use your entries on that page. The checker does not send or save them. A printed or downloaded declaration stays with you until you choose to give it to the team. Avoid adding unnecessary health information to general shopping or delivery notes.
