Ottoman storage
A lifting mattress platform opens the space underneath. Check whether it opens at the foot or side and what clearance it needs.
Divan drawers
Separate drawers open from the base. Check their positions, usable dimensions and the space needed to pull them out.

- Where will I stand to open it?
- Can every drawer open past the bedside furniture?
- Does the headboard or a sloping ceiling affect the lift?
- What mattress weight does the lifting mechanism need?
- What are the storage weight limits?
Follow the operating instructions
Use the manufacturer’s handles and lifting method. Keep hands, children and pets clear of moving parts, and never enter the storage space beneath a raised platform. Do not operate a mechanism with the wrong mattress weight or alter its fittings.
Store items within the stated load limits. Ask the team to explain the opening method and assembly requirements for the actual bed you choose.
