Start with what you need to store
Wardrobes
Compare hanging space, shelves and drawers. Think about longer clothes and the height of items on shelves.
Chests of drawers
Check usable drawer dimensions and how far the drawers open. Compare the number and layout of drawers.
Bedside tables
Compare height with your bed and check space for a lamp, charging cable and the things you use at night.
Measure the working space
Allow for opening doors and drawers, handles, skirting boards and sockets. Sliding doors still need room to operate and may limit access to part of the interior at a time.
Check the ceiling clearance needed for assembly. A wardrobe that fits when upright may need more room while being put together; follow the instructions for that model.
Choose a coordinated finish
Shop by range for matching pieces, then check the exact finish name on each product. Photographs and screens can show colours differently. Ask whether a sample or display is available.
Confirm whether each item arrives assembled or flat packed, which handles and fittings are included, and any assembly costs or arrangements. Room-of-choice delivery does not include flat-pack assembly.
